RadioPro Talk – Support for Legacy IP Gateway Versions Ending

Support for legacy RadioPro IP Gateway versions will be phased out in future RadioPro Talk releases.

After January 1, 2027, new versions of RadioPro Talk will no longer support these legacy gateways.

Systems will continue to operate normally. This update is intended to give customers plenty of time to plan and complete any needed upgrades.

What Is Changing

This applies to RadioPro IP Gateway versions earlier than 8.1.13:

  • 8.1.13 and newer – No action required
  • 8.1.0 through 8.1.12 – Software upgrade required
  • Prior to 8.1.0 – Hardware upgrade required

Recommended Next Steps

We recommend working with your authorized 2-way radio dealer to review your system and plan the appropriate upgrade.

Software Upgrades

If your system is version 8.1.0 or newer, it may be upgraded to a supported version: https://ctiproducts.com/RadioPro_UpgradeDownloads.html

Note: CTI Products recommends that upgrades be performed by a qualified RadioPro dealer to ensure proper configuration and minimize downtime.

Hardware Upgrades

Systems running versions earlier than 8.1.0 will require updated gateway hardware to remain compatible with future releases.

Your dealer can assist with selecting and configuring the appropriate replacement.

Timeline

  • Now: Systems continue to operate normally
  • Now through December 31, 2026: Recommended upgrade window
  • January 2027: New RadioPro Talk releases will no longer support legacy gateways

Why This Change Is Being Made

Earlier versions of the RadioPro IP Gateway use older communication methods that are no longer aligned with current software and security standards.
